About the Author
Major General Amos Gilead Res. is a retired Israeli military officer and diplomat. He served in a variety of senior positions in the Israeli military, including as head of the Military Intelligence Directorate and the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories. He has also served as Israel's ambassador to Egypt and Jordan. Gilead is currently a senior research fellow at the Institute for National Security Studies in Tel Aviv.
